Urinary catheter care including IDC and SPC supportRodem Community Care Pty Ltd provides professional urinary catheter care and management support for NDIS participants and clients who require assistance with bladder drainage, catheter maintenance, continence products and related nursing care.Our service may support people with indwelling urinary catheters (IDC), suprapubic catheters (SPC), intermittent catheterisation needs, catheter-related continence concerns, recurrent catheter issues, reduced mobility, disability-related continence needs or complex health conditions requiring ongoing nursing support. We provide in-person services where available and Telehealth consultations across all Australian states and territories where clinically appropriate. | |

Catheter Changes and Ongoing Support | Rodem Community Care Pty Ltd can assist with regular catheter care and scheduled catheter management support in the home where clinically appropriate. Catheter care needs are reviewed individually, taking into account the participant’s diagnosis, medical history, catheter type, current routine, support needs, continence products, skin condition and risk factors. Where required, we can provide recommendations for ongoing catheter care, product use and support worker involvement. | ||
Intermittent Catheterisation Support | Some participants may require intermittent catheterisation as part of their bladder management routine. Where clinically appropriate, we can provide education, guidance and review to support safe and confident catheter care. This may include education for the participant, family members, carers or support workers, depending on the person’s care needs and consent. | ||
Daily Catheter Care for Support Workers | Daily catheter care may be required for participants who receive support from disability support workers or carers. Rodem Community Care Pty Ltd can provide education and practical guidance to help support workers understand safe catheter care routines. Training and education may include:

These reports may assist participants, families, nominees, support coordinators, plan managers and NDIS planners to understand the participant’s catheter care needs and related funding requirements. Please note that NDIS funding decisions are made by the NDIA. Our role is to provide professional clinical assessment, recommendations and supporting documentation. | ||
